The Sovereign Accord

This is not a terms of service. There is nothing to accept. These are the immutable principles governing the relationship between you and Whisper.

ANCHOREDFIELD_PROTOCOL
STATUSENFORCED
"We reject the notion that using a service means surrendering sovereignty. This accord exists not to protect us from you, but to bind us to you."
- The Whisper Protocol
ARTICLES OF ACCORD
Article I / RIGHT

Sovereignty of Attention

Your attention is yours alone. No message, notification, or signal may demand it without your explicit consent. Silence is not failure - it is a protected state.

Article II / RIGHT

Ownership of Identity

Your Anchor belongs to you permanently. It cannot be revoked, transferred without consent, or held hostage by any server, corporation, or protocol update.

Article III / RIGHT

Right to Disappear

You may withdraw from any interaction, relationship, or the system itself at any time. Your departure requires no explanation and leaves no debt.

Article IV / RIGHT

Protection from Accumulation

Your history shall not be weaponized against you. We do not build profiles, calculate engagement scores, or optimize for your continued presence.

Article V / OBLIGATION

Truthful Artifacts

The system shall never fabricate, alter, or misrepresent the state of any interaction. Artifacts reflect reality: delivered, faded, or denied - nothing else.

Article VI / OBLIGATION

Structural Privacy

Privacy is not a feature to be toggled - it is the architecture. We cannot violate what we do not possess. Message contents are not stored, indexed, or analyzed.

Article VII / OBLIGATION

No Dark Patterns

The system shall never employ psychological manipulation to increase engagement. No artificial urgency, no guilt mechanics, no exploitation of social pressure.

Article VIII / OBLIGATION

Transparent Scarcity

When resources are limited, the constraints are real and visible. We do not manufacture false scarcity to drive behavior.

Article IX / MUTUAL

The Consent Principle

All interaction requires mutual consent. A sender consents to possible non-delivery. A receiver consents only to what their Field permits. Neither party is owed the other's response.

Article X / MUTUAL

Acceptance of Impermanence

Messages may fade. Connections may end. The system does not guarantee preservation. This impermanence is not a flaw - it is the design.

Article XI / RIGHT

Right to Fork

The logic governing your interactions is open and inspectable. If the system fails to serve your sovereignty, you have the right to take your data and identity elsewhere.

Article XII / OBLIGATION

Algorithmic Neutrality

The system shall not prioritize content based on commercial interests, political bias, or external pressure. The protocol serves the user, not the provider.

Article XIII / MUTUAL

The Resilience Compact

Whisper is a living protocol. It may evolve to better protect these articles. Preservation of sovereignty is the highest priority, even over convenience.

Article XIV / OBLIGATION

Accountability of Breakthrough

Breaking another's silence via a Red Whisper is a grave act. It requires a scarce token and leaves a permanent public trace in OpenLogs.

Article XV / RIGHT

Alignment of the Field

Your Field is your sanctuary. You have the right to align with specific intents and silence all others.

Article XVI / RIGHT

Artifact Durability

The system distinguishes between ephemeral whispers and durable briefs. You have the right to know which interactions are anchored in time.

Article XVII / OBLIGATION

Sovereign Access

Access is controlled solely by your keys. There are no backdoors, no password resets, and no centralized recovery.

Article XVIII / RIGHT

The Natural Fade

Data is not eternal by default. You have the right to set and accelerate the decay of your signals.

Article XIX / OBLIGATION

Cryptographic Proof

Every interaction artifact and protocol state is cryptographically signed. You own the proof of your own reality.

Article XX / RIGHT

The Right to Silence

Silence is the universal default. The system shall never assume availability.

Article XXI / RIGHT

Social Recovery

Identity resilience is found in trust networks, not centralized databases. You have the right to designate Guardians.

Article XXII / OBLIGATION

Immutable Governance

Decisions, once sealed by consensus, are binding and immutable. No retroactive changes; no hidden erasures.

Article XXIII / RIGHT

Intent as Signal

You have the right to filter by intent, not identity. The system respects explicit semantic alignment.

Article XXIV / RIGHT

Broadcast of Attention

Whether others know you attended to their signal is your choice alone. Read receipts are optional, not structural.

Article XXV / MUTUAL

Finite Urgency

Breakthrough tokens are intentionally scarce. Urgency requiring silence-breaking must be rare, costly, and accountable.

By existing within Whisper, these principles are already in effect. No signature required. No checkbox needed. The law is the architecture.
